About this tool

Choosing a raffle winner, rolling for a board game, sampling rows for a spot check, or just settling who washes up — a fair random number is the simplest answer. This free random number generator picks any amount from 1 to 1,000 numbers between the minimum and maximum you set, with options for unique numbers (no repeats), sorted output and decimals with 1 to 4 decimal places. Quick buttons give you a dice roll, a coin flip, a 1–10 pick and a 6-of-49 lottery line without touching the settings.

Unlike many generators that use Math.random(), this one draws from the browser's cryptographic random source and applies rejection sampling, so there is no modulo bias — every value in the range is exactly as likely as every other. Everything runs locally in your browser: no server, no logging, no sign-up. The results sit in a big, readable display with one-click copy, and Generate again repeats the last draw with the same settings.

How to generate random numbers

  1. Enter the minimum and maximum, and how many numbers you need.
  2. Tick Unique for no repeats, Sort for ascending order, or Allow decimals for fractional values.
  3. Press Generate — or use a quick pick — then copy the result.

Frequently asked questions

How random are the numbers?

They come from your browser's cryptographic random source (crypto.getRandomValues), the same generator used for encryption keys, and the range is applied with rejection sampling so every value is exactly equally likely. That makes it suitable for draws, raffles and sampling, not just games.

What does the unique option do?

With unique ticked, no number appears twice in the same batch — like drawing balls from a bag without putting them back. The range must contain at least as many values as you ask for; for example 10 unique numbers between 1 and 5 is impossible, and the tool tells you so.

Can I generate decimal numbers?

Yes. Tick allow decimals and choose 1 to 4 decimal places. The generator then picks uniformly among every value with that many decimals between your minimum and maximum, including both ends, so 0.00 and 1.00 are as likely as any value in between.

Are negative numbers and large ranges supported?

Yes — the minimum and maximum can be anywhere from −1,000,000,000 to 1,000,000,000, negatives included, and the maximum may equal the minimum if you want a fixed value. The range is checked before generating so you get a clear message rather than a wrong result.

Can I use this for a lottery or a prize draw?

Yes. The Lottery 6 of 49 button draws six unique numbers from 1 to 49 and sorts them, and you can set any other format by changing the range and count with unique ticked. Nothing is logged or sent anywhere, so the draw happens only on your screen.
