Rotate & Flip Image
Turn images 90° or 180° and mirror them horizontally or vertically — one file or a whole batch, with a live preview.
About this tool
A phone photo that insists on lying on its side, a scan that came out upside down, a selfie that needs un-mirroring before it goes on a badge — this free tool rotates and flips JPG, PNG and WebP images right in your browser. Rotate 90° left or right, turn 180°, mirror horizontally or vertically, and stack as many of those moves as you like: the preview updates after every click so you can see exactly what you'll get before anything is saved.
Because the transform is applied with the browser's own canvas, the rotation is baked into the pixels rather than hidden in an orientation tag that some apps ignore. Output keeps your original format — PNG stays PNG with transparency intact, WebP stays WebP, JPG is re-saved at high quality — and the whole batch gets the same treatment, so fixing forty sideways holiday photos takes one drop and one click. No uploads, no account, no watermark.
How to rotate or flip an image
- Drop one or more images onto the box — the first one appears in the preview.
- Click Rotate left/right, 180°, Flip horizontal or Flip vertical as many times as needed; moves combine.
- Press Apply to all, then download each result or hit Download all.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded when I rotate them?
No. The rotation and flip are drawn onto a canvas inside your browser and the new file is assembled on your device. Nothing is transmitted, so private photos, scans of documents and ID images stay with you.
Does rotating lose image quality?
Rotating by 90° or 180° and flipping only rearrange pixels, so no detail is lost. PNG output is pixel-exact; JPG and WebP output are re-encoded at quality 92, which is visually indistinguishable from the original for photos.
Why does my phone photo look rotated in the first place?
Phones often save photos sideways and add an EXIF orientation tag telling viewers how to turn them. Some apps ignore that tag. This tool bakes the correction into the pixels themselves, so the output displays correctly everywhere, with no orientation tag to misread.
Can I rotate many images at once?
Yes. Drop in any number of JPG, PNG or WebP files, set up the rotation and flips using the preview, then click Apply — the same transform is applied to every file and you can save them all with Download all.
Can I rotate by an angle other than 90°, like 15°?
Not here — this tool handles the lossless 90°, 180° and 270° turns plus mirroring, which covers sideways photos and scans. Straightening a tilted horizon needs a free-angle rotate with cropping, which is a different job best done in a photo editor.
