Turn WebP images into the universally supported JPG format. Transparent areas are flattened onto white.
About this tool
You save an image from the web, try to open or upload it somewhere, and get rejected — because it's a WebP. This free converter turns WebP images into universal JPGs that every app, editor, office suite and upload form accepts. It runs entirely in your browser: no upload, no account, no watermark.
Drop in a single file or a whole batch; each one is converted instantly at high quality and can be downloaded individually or all together.
How to convert WebP to JPG
- Drag & drop your WebP files onto the box above (or click to browse).
- Conversion happens automatically — nothing to configure.
- Download each JPG, or all of them at once.
Frequently asked questions
Why do so many downloaded images come as WebP?
WebP is Google's modern web format — smaller than JPG at the same quality — so most websites now serve images in it. Browsers handle it fine, but plenty of older apps, editors and upload forms still refuse it, which is where conversion to JPG helps.
Will I lose quality converting WebP to JPG?
The converter re-encodes at high JPG quality, so any difference is practically invisible. Like any conversion between lossy formats, it cannot add detail that the WebP had already discarded.
Do animated WebP files work?
Only the first frame is converted — JPG is a still-image format and cannot hold animation. For animated files, convert to GIF or a video format instead.
What happens to transparency?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas of the WebP are flattened onto a white background.
Is the conversion private?
Completely — files are converted locally in your browser and never uploaded to any server. Batch conversion of many WebP files at once is supported.
